Job Description
  • Lead districtwide instructional technology and digital learning initiatives.
  • Support the integration of technology into curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
  • Coordinate professional learning related to instructional technology, digital citizenship, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers, administrators, librarians, and instructional staff regarding effective technology integration.
  • Oversee instructional technology platforms, digital resources, learning management systems, assessment systems, and library systems.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, implementation, licensing, and renewal of instructional software and digital tools.
  • Oversee the district’s student management system and related instructional data systems.
  • Coordinate student scheduling, attendance, grading, report cards, parent portal functionality, and instructional data access.
  • Supervise state reporting and data submission processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with technology staff, regional information centers, vendors, and district departments regarding system functionality and implementation.
  • Promote safe, secure, ethical, and responsible use of technology and digital resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional technology programs and innovation initiatives.
  • Assist with budgeting, data analysis, reports, presentations, and long-range planning related to instructional technology and innovation.
Job Qualifications
  • New York State certification in School District Leader (SDL)
  • Possess the ability to evaluate, implement, support and integrate new educational technologies. 
  • Experience with New York State assessments, data analysis and interpretation.
  • Proven ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
