Job Description

School Psychologist / CSE Chairperson

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Chair, attend, and actively participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings as assigned by the Executive Director for Special Education. 

• Collaborate with special education teams to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring appropriate modifications and accommodations for students. 

• Provide mandated individual and group counseling services at the Middle School and High School, as assigned. 

• Conduct initial and reevaluation psychological assessments. 

• Assist in Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and the development of Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs). 

• Serve as a resource for mental health and behavioral strategies to support students at the Middle School and High School levels. 

• Provide consultation and support to special education administrators. 

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director for Special Education. 

 

 

Job Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Valid New York State Certification required 

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred
