Job Description

The expertise and responsibilities required of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Commitment to a philosophy predicated on the core values of equity, access, rigor, and adaptability that promotes the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students
• Expert knowledge of instructional best practices and the ability to observe and evaluate faculty and staff to ensure their effectiveness
• Knowledge and experience using the Danielson Framework for Teaching and Learning preferred

• Skillful at promoting a positive culture for learning that focuses on personal responsibility, dignity, and respect amongst teachers and staff
• Effective communicator with the ability to engage students, parents, and faculty in collaborative problem solving
• Knowledge of the Master Schedule
• Other duties assigned by the building principal

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
• Demonstrated capacity in providing instructional leadership
• New York State certification in administration (SBL or SAS)
• Valid teaching certification
